Holy shit…. I did it. I finally started my blog. Woop Woop! Ok, well here it goes…. the method to MY madness…
I will ramble on about many things.
Self-Journey (because when you peel away parenthood, who are we really? This is an answer I am really trying to find, mentally, physically, and emotionally). Prepare to come into the mind of an anxious over-caffeinated soul. Also, follow my journey through emotional eating & binge eating as I set out on a new path to try to determine what healthy looks like for me, my issue always becomes consistency.
Parenthood (Who wouldn’t want to mimic my parenting style of being super patient, nurturing, and fun and then suddenly flying off the handle the next second because well, LIFE?! Oh well, my kids are learning what struggle, chaos and overstimulation looks like and how to handle it graciously at times and when not handled graciously – how to reset and apologize)
My Queerness (As a Pansexual person in a same-sex marriage with kids, I feel the desire to share my knowledge as a Founder of a Pride Organization, and life experiences as a Queer Human – who came OUT three times mind you, yup, more on that later) – link to Hamden Pride also on my page, check it out!
Additionally, I hope to post ideas and links as they pertain to things that matter to me:
My Creative Corner (I think I was an artist in a previous life who came into this particular body and found out she can’t fucking “do art”! However, I do love a good creative project; from creating baskets & thoughtful gifts, to using my Cricut, and even creating my kids’ Valentines solely on my own (while they FUCKING watch?!), then pretending the creative little scribbles are THEIR masterpieces’)
Good Reads (I have made it my goal to read AT LEAST one book a month; usually these are steamy romance novels because in a marriage with three kids, let’s face it, aren’t most of our sex lives’ minorly lacking? One kid always ends up in our bed (Sawyer), the other always goes to bed too late (ok, Sawyer again) and then you are exhausted (fucking Sawyer!). Occasionally my book choices do stray away from romantic novels)
Product Recs (I am a shopaholic – thanks Ma, and who doesn’t love a good therapeutic shopping trip? I have come upon some GREAT products for all aspects of life, so why keep them a secret?! AND – if I stumble upon something that left me disappointed, I’ll share that too, so you don’t waste your hard-earned CASH (or not heard-earned, not my business lol)!
Food & Booze: No matter what the site features, there will always be LOTS and LOTS of MARGARITAS)
Wellness: My meditation favs, therapy revelations, my journey through depression and anxiety. Also, favorite exercises and places to hike, plus more!
